The approximant time of event registration each day is 08:30 and approximant start time for each day is 09:30am. These timings will change for each day so is imperative you read the 'Further instructions' published 2 weeks before the event.
Terrain The Mother of all hilly runs. Very steep rocky cliff paths, shingle, sand, mud and some tarmac if you are lucky. Day one starts aggressively with a climb up Golden Cap early on then levels out for a nice stroll along Chesil Bank. Day two takes you through the lovely sea side resort of Weymouth then it really starts: Osmington Mills, Ringstead Bay, Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove and Tyneham village finishing at Kimmeridge Bay. Day 3 is probably the wildest of the lot passing over Chapmans Pool, St Aldhelms Head and Dancing Ledge before hauling you up and over Ballard Down to tip your hat to Old Harry rocks, finishing at Shell Bay, Studland. Facilities The votwo team are providing the support package that will include the following -
Check points: Approximately every 6-8 miles supplying food and drink (filled rolls,hot drinks etc. Pasta at the finish point), to ensure that you are on route and as point of reference for time keeping. For those needing it they offer the perfect opportunity to have a good sit down.
Transportation: Each day you will be instructed to meet at the days meeting point. You will leave your car here and be transported to the start. If your accommodation is in the Chickerell area for both nights (finish and start point for days 1 & 2) you can leave your car there and votwo will take care of your transport for days 1 & 2. On the final day every one drives to chain ferry and leaves there car there (the days finish point) then the votwo mini buses take every one to the start at Kimmeridge bay.
Medical assistance: The whole route is covered by our medical support and evacuation plan. Every morning at race registration the medics will be available to sort out any blisters, tape feet up and re-attached severed limbs etc. The votwo physiotherapists will also be available at the end of each day to advise on dealing with strains and injuries.

Individual times: at each check point your number will be taken then after the event time sheets will be available.
Meat wagon: any runner who can no longer continue at any checkpoint can jump on the mini bus and be taken to the finish point (hanging your head is shame is optional).
On Friday night, Saturday night and Sunday afternoon votwo physiotherapists will be providing a massage service located at the Lugger Inn (Sunday afternoon from the finish line). It will cost £10 for 15 mins. If you think that you may be interested in this service (and it may help you to get out of bed the next day) please express this on your booking form.
On Saturday night there is a group BBQ and talk at the Lugger Inn. Tickets for the group BBQ will be sold on the night at the door. The price will be around £10. Transport will be provided for runners staying in the nearby Haven Holiday park accommodation.
Accommodation votwo have done a exclusive deal with Haven Holiday park as the main accommodation for the event. The park benefits from being right on the Jurassic Coast route and provides weary runners with quality self catering units and access to all the parks facilities including the indoor swimming pool, perfect for easing those tired limbs. As part of the accommodation package votwo will transport you from the Holiday park to registration, the start and back from the finish. You will be able to park your car and leave it there for the 3 days. Prices are £75 per head for 2 nights (Friday 27th and Saturday 28th) or £95 for 3 nights (Friday 27th, Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th).

Team/Relay Ideal for charity runners. Complete each day as a relay team. Teams of 2. Share the running! Person one runs to first check point where they hand over to person 2 who then runs to check point 2 etc etc. Transport is provided to leap frog runners. Down load the charity form on the top right of this page to help CLIC Sargant raise money for children with cancer.
Prizes Every one is a winner! On completion of your 1,2 or 3 day challenge you will receive a custom made JCC 2009 glass trophy.
This year we are adding custom made event running tops and T-shirts as a optional extra. These can be purchased when you enter on line. You can also email events@votwo.co.uk at a later date to order. You will not be able to purchase your top at the event. They must be pre ordered either when you enter or by email.You will receivce your top in your goodie bag at registration.
The 2009 version of the votwo running top is much improved on the 2008 one and is a highly recommended purchase!
Categories This has changed for 2009. Just two categories now.
Group 1. Walkers. This is not just a stroll in the Jurassic park! You will have to maintain a average speed of just over 3.5 kmph to keep within the check point timings.
Group 2. Runners/joggers. All abilities welcome. Getting to the finish is the main objective and as long as you keep that average pace above 5 kmph you will be fine!

Votwo Events Refund Policy:
Events refund policy JCC 2009: Any event entry or accommodation cancelation received by email to events@votwo.co.uk more than 14 days prior to the event date will receive a 50% refund. Only emailed cancelations are acceptable. Cancelations made in the last 14 days will not be eligible for any refund.
In the highly unlikely case that an event is canceled at short notice due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. extreme weather, Foot and Mouth or similar) the event will be re-scheduled for the next available date and all entry fees carried over to that date.
If access to the Lulworth Ranges is restricted a alternative route will be used.
Votwo's signature endurance running event the Jurassic Coast Challenge
returns to the Dorset coast path for 2009. A 26.2 mile marathon each
day for 3 days running, jogging, walking or crawling from Lyme Regis
to Poole along beautiful but brutal coastal terrain. A true test of
fitness and determination for those who find modern life just a little
bit too comfortable. Heed the warning: The cowardly won't start and
